AP II Serves 1.9 Million Passengers during2018 Lunar New Year

INDUSTRY.co.id - Jakarta - PT Angkasa Pura (AP) II serves about 1.9 million passengers at all airports it manages during the Lunar New Year holiday period of 2018, an increase of more than 25 percent compared to last year.

President Director of AP II Muhammad Awaluddin in a press release received in Jakarta on Tuesday (20/2/2018) mentions this increase is driven by the long holiday period of the Lunar is from 15 to 19 February 2018.
Muhammad Awaluddin said that his party also appreciated the high public interest during the Lunar New Year 2018, considering that this year Angkasa Pura II's airport has operated a new terminal, able to accommodate high passengers compared to normal days.

"Besides, some destinations which are our favorite destinations during the Lunar holiday period, are the airports we manage such as Pontianak, Kualanamu, Pangkal Pinang, Tanjungpinang and Soekarno-Hatta International Airport," Awaluddin explained.

The largest number of passengers came from Soekarno-Hatta International Airport which is the main airport of Angkasa Pura II with passengers about 936,911 passengers or an increase of about 13 percent compared to normal days which only reached 826,735 passengers.

As for the movement of aircraft has increased approximately 15 percent to 14,274 movements in this year compared with last year around 12,308 movements.

Awaluddin added as the operator of 14 airports, it is the responsibility of Angkasa Pura II to provide the best service.

"The service is not only about improving the facilities but also creating the atmosphere of the terminal with the nuance of Imlek By giving the maximum service, in the future it is expected that all Angkasa Pura II Airport can serve more passengers," he concluded
