All E-commerce Transaction Data Will Be Recorded by BPS

INDUSTRY.co.id - Jakarta - Central Bureau of Statistics (BPS) targets will soon enter the data of e-commerce transactions into household consumption data. The reason for the collection of data on online trading transactions (e-commerce) by the marketplace will soon be completed.
Chairman of the Retail Education Division of the Indonesian E-commerce Association (iDEA) Muhammad Rosihan said it would soon complete the process of registering all marketplaces in March. That is, from March, BPS is able to conduct surveys for e-commerce transaction data.
"It's still running, this month is expected to be collected (data) after it runs the rest, February is expected to exist, so the data is expected to be March or April," he said on Thursday (22/2/2018) afternoon.
The data will be captured by BPS as many as 7 categories. Among turnover, foreign and local investment, transactions, payment methods, labor and technology in an e-commerce.
In addition, e-commerce actors will be classified into 9 categories, namely marketplace or e-retail, classified horizontal, classified vertical, travel, transportation, specialty stores, daily deals, logistics, payment.
Meanwhile, he revealed that there are currently some marketplaces (online stores) whose data are completed and ready to be recorded by BPS.
"So there has been progress some marketplaces have been collected for now, which is pushed by 20 large marketplaces," he said.
