UNESCO and Citi Indonesia Give Award for Beginner Entrepreneurship

Miftahudin Nur Ihsan was awarded the Youth Creative Competition program organized by UNESCO Jakarta and Citi Indonesia.

INDUSTRY.co.id - Jakarta - Relegenerate Entrepreneur Ministry of Cooperatives and SMEs, Miftahudin Nur Ihsan won awards at the Youth Creative Competition program organized by UNESCO Jakarta and Citi Indonesia. The award was announced on 14 February 2018, Miftahudin won the award of the field of Entrepreneurship.

Deputy of Financing Ministry of Cooperatives and SMEs Yuana Sutyowati appreciate the achievements of Entrepreneurs (WP) who have shown progress in innovation, creativity to develop their business.

"We are proud that entrepreneurs of Beginner Entrepreneurs showed tremendous progress to win UNESCO Jakarta and Citi Indonesia awards," Yuana said in a press release Monday (26/2) night.

Miftahudin, a student majoring in Chemistry Education FMIPA Yogyakarta State University began entrepreneurship in 2015 by pioneering batik business that is named Smart Batik Indonesia.

Capitalize Rp 5 million, Miftahudi make three motifs of batik, the motive themed education, transportation, and MIPA.

The young man who has won 13 scientific writing contests this national level, pass the selection to obtain WP assistance in 2017. A total of Rp 12 million WP assistance obtained from Cooperative and SMEs Ministry used to buy tools and raw materials in order to develop a business that has been executed at once product innovation.

For the tenacity and persistence in innovation, Miftahudin Nur Ihsan in 2018 participated in Youth Creative Competition Program initiated by UNESCO Jakarta and Citi Indonesia. For his work, Miftahudin received an award in the field of entrepreneurship announced at the Creative Youth Forum on 14 February 2018.

Miftahudin said the program is the culmination of a series of activities, which begins with coaching activities, in the form of training in marketing, branding, financial management as well as the assistance of Cooperative and SMEs Ministry.

"Smart Batik Indonesia will get coaching and business development facilities from UNESCO Jakarta and Citi Indonesia," said Miftahudin.
