2017, Unilever's Net Profit Grows 9.6 Percent

INDUSTRY.co.id - Tangerang - PT Unilever Indonesia Tbk posted a net profit of Rp 7.0 trillion or an increase of 9.6% over the same period last year.
Sancoyo Antarikso, Director & Corporate Secretary explained that for the period, the Company recorded net sales of Rp 41.2 trillion or recorded growth of 2.9% compared to 2014 of Rp40.0 trillion.
"Our business challenge in 2017 is the low level of household consumption, which has suppressed the growth of consumer goods industry in Indonesia," he said in Jakarta, Wednesday (28/2/2018).
According to him, in the midst of weaker market growth compared to previous years, the Company is still growing and committed to the Indonesian economy. In 2017, the Company spent a capital cost of Rp1.7 trillion to support continuous innovation.
"With a strong strategy throughout the year, the Company can adapt to challenging conditions. Understanding consumer needs as well as focusing on execution and efficiency across all lines of operations enables us to maintain our commitment to deliver more value and grow in a competitive manner "he said.
