Swallow Bird's Nest will be taxed

INDUSTRY.co.id - Jakarta - Banjarbaru City Government, South Kalimantan, is ready to collect local taxes related to the existence of swiftlet nest that has not been handled when the local regulations have been enacted.
Head of Regional Tax and Revenue Management Agency (BPPRD) Banjarbaru Rustam Effendi said it was ready to collect taxes every swiftlet nest.
"We will collect taxes on every swallow's nest according to the rules and regulations set forth in Regulation No. 5 of 2013 on swallow's nest fee," he said in Banjarbaru City, as reported by Antara recently.
He said the tax was imposed since 2013 but until now there has been no agency that attracted taxes so that local revenue from the tax potential is not or zero.
Explained, other regulations are also applied to regulate the existence of swallow's nest that is the Regulation number 2 of 2013 on the permit and management of swiftlet nests.
"Since 2013 until now there is no agency that pulled taxes when the local regulation is already in place so we are ready to impose a tax on swiftlet nest," he said.
According to him, the steps taken in order to attract taxes swiftlet nest that comes directly to the point or location of bird nests that are taken saliva.
Mentioned, it lowered the officers who are ready to visit the location of the bird's nest using an operational vehicle so that it can reach the bird's nest building.
"Officers come directly to the location of swallow's nest and ask the owner or managers to pay taxes on bird's nest according to the rules set out in the local regulations," he said.
It is said, owners and managers of swallow bird nests suggested to report the existence of bird's nest so that it can be recorded officers and taxed by the amount already set.
"We appeal to the owners and managers to report and meet the obligation to pay taxes because the tax paid will be returned in the form of development," he said.
