Strengthen the Logistics Sector, Citilink Add Three Domestic Routes

INDUSTRY.co.id - Jakarta- Citilink Indonesia will soon open three new routes for logistics for domestic airlines in the near future, namely Makassar, Denpasar and Solo destinations.
After the launch of a new cabin crew uniform, in Jakarta on Monday, Citilink Indonesia President Director Juliandra Nurtjahjo said the airline's Garuda Indonesia subsidiary already has 63 flight routes and will increase to 71 routes including expansion into the ASEAN region this year.
"The Makassar domestic route, Denpasar we will go in. Solo also there is a new route because previously there has been no Solo route from Cengkareng, so far in Halim, adding to our frequency," said Juliandra to the media crew.
The Cengkareng-Solo flight will be operated from 1 April, while the Makassar and Denpasar destinations will be opened in the third quarter of 2018.
In addition to domestic flights, Citilink also opens a new flight route Jakarta-Penang, Malaysia which began operating on March 25, 2018.
"On March 25th, we will fly the Cengkareng-Penang regional destination once a day and every day to fly," he said.
Based on previous information, Juliandra said Penang has a wide open potential about the high interest to travel both marine tourism, culinary, and historic, as well as for medical treatment.
Penang became the second international flight destination after Dili, East Timor which opened in May 2017.
The addition of this destination is one of Citilink Indonesia's steps in expanding its business to the ASEAN region, as it achieved the award as a low cost carrier (LCC) Star Four from Skytrax.
