HAD 2018 commemorative event at PUPR Campus starting at 07.00 WIB begins morning gymnastics and continued with socialization of making hole biopori and rain water container technology (PAH) to civil servants and civil servant candidate in the Ministry of PUPR.
Biopori holes will make rain water quickly absorbed into the ground by making a cylindrical hole using a drill / Crowbar. The depth is about 80-100 cm with paralon pipe diameter 10 cm and length 20 cm which is covered with wire strainer. Paralon filled with organic waste so that earthworms can develop and create a hole that will make rain water can seep deep into the soil.
Biopori will reduce the flow of surface water (run off) so as to prevent the occurrence of puddles and floods. On that occasion Minister Basuki submitted tools for making biopori in housing complexes of employees of the Ministry of PUPR.
Minister Basuki also get an explanation about Rain Water Dissolution (PAH) innovation technology Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM), Yogyakarta with TRAP (Tampung, Resapan, Alar and Pelihara) methods. Pratama Tirza UGM students explained to Minister Basuki that rain water is channeled through the gutters into a filter pipe inside which is filled with plastic balls and foam commonly used in the aquarium which is then accommodated in a water tank.
"PAH has been used by the community to harvest rain in swamp areas of Palembang, South Sumatra but have not used the filter. With the filter, water quality will be better. This technology will be used in Asmat District because of the difficulty of clean water, "explained Minister Basuki.
The PUPR Ministry is also developing a drainage system, groundwater tank facility that will store rainwater that falls in all areas of the PUPR Ministry Campus including on the roof of all buildings. Later on, the successful harvesting water will be used as an alternative water source sanitation pool, water cooling tower and rinse water toilets.
