INDUSTRY.co.id - Jakarta - President Joko Widodo expects toll freight rates for logistics transportation can be reduced as soon as possible. This was stated by the President at the Main Building of the Ministry of State Secretariat, Jakarta, Friday (23/3/2018).

"Maybe next week or the end of this month Yesterday the calculation has been given to me but the tax holiday decisions and concessions are extended to when will not yet," said President Jokowi.

The President hopes, especially to the Minister of Public Works and Public Housing Basuki Hadimuldjono, SOE Minister Rini Soemarno, and Minister of Transportation Budi Karya Sumadi so that the toll tariffs associated with logistics transportation can be reduced as much as possible.

"With the record, yesterday, I am still trying to make the pioneer projects that we do get tax holiday so that the burden or cost to the calculation that will appear to the tariff will be reduced," said President.

One way that can be taken to reduce the cost of expensive tariffs, according to the President is to extend the concession. With the extension of the concession, it is very possible that the toll tariff can be decreased due to the longer return on profits so the toll tariff can be lowered.

"It means that there are many roads that we can take if we look in detail, I think it can go down maybe 20 to 30 percent," he continued.

The President said that the policy to reduce the toll tariff starts from the complaints of the drivers he often hears when he visits the area.

"Yes I do often go down, often to the area, sounds like that I hear, this is from the driver, I say what it is. If only one driver is not, if you enter two or three drivers this is evaluated," said President Jokowi.
