Jokowi Targeted Merak-Banyuwangi Toll Connected 2019

INDUSTRY.co.id - Jakarta - President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) is targeting the completion of the freeway infrastructure development from Merak, Banten, to Banyuwangi, East Java, to be completed or connected by the end of 2019.
"My target, the end of 2018 from Merak to Pasuruan is connected, and by 2019 from Merak to Banyuwangi are really connected," said President Jokowi during the inauguration of the Ngawi-Kertosono Toll at Madiun Toll Gate Village, Madiun Sub-district, Madiun Regency, Java East, Thursday (29/3/2018).
He ensures that all its related personnel, both the Ministry of PUPR, SOEs, and others are working "speeding" so that infrastructure projects in Indonesia are not left behind.
"We have to chase with other countries, otherwise we will be left behind, if we are not fast-paced and short-lived in doing things we have left behind, we will be late for everything," Jokowi said.
For that, in a few years it will focus on the workmanship and improvement of state infrastructure that is considered still far behind with the countries in ASEAN.
"Without it (quick work), forget it, we are all defeated, so alhamdulillah today has finished 51.95 kilometers toll from Ngawi to Wilangan," he said.
President Joko Widodo inaugurated 52 kilometers of Ngawi-Kertosono (Klitik-Wilangan) Toll Road which passes three districts in East Java, namely Ngawi, Madiun and Nganjuk districts until they are ready to be operated to meet the infrastructure and transportation needs of the community.
Meanwhile, the Ngawi-Kertosono toll road, which was inaugurated by Jokowi, is part of the Solo-Ngawi-Kertosono Toll Road constructed by PT Ngawi Kertosono Jaya (PT NKJ).
The inauguration of the Ngawi-Wilangan section precedes the other two sections as infrastructure is considered to be better prepared. While Solo-Ngawi toll roads by PT Solo Ngawi Jaya (SNJ) and Wilangan-Kertosono by the government have not yet finished its development.
The total length of the Toll Road Ngawi-Kertosono reaches 87.5 km and from this segment along 52 km is done by PT NKJ with investment value Rp3, 83 trillion for Klitik, Ngawi-Wilangan, Nganjuk. The remaining 36 kilometers of Wilangan-Kertosono is done by the government.
After inaugurating the toll, President Jokowi attaches electronic or e-tol transactions at the Toll Gate of Madiun which is also a symbol of Tol Ngawi-Kertosono can already be operated. Then the entourage reviewed the construction of the highway by boarding the project truck.
In the inauguration, President Joko Widodo was accompanied by Minister PUPR Basuki Hadimuljono, Finance Minister Sri Mulyani, Cabinet Secretary Pramono Anung, East Java Governor Soekarwo, President Director PT Jasa Marga Desi and President Director PT Ngawi Kertosono Jaya Iwan Moedyarno.
