INDUSTRY.co.id - Jakarta - Tokopedia in cooperation with PT Asuransi Tokio Marine Indonesia (Tokio Marine) in providing shipping insurance coverage for Tokopedia users.
Tokio Marine will be the provider of guarantee or protection against potential damage and loss of goods purchased during the shipment process.
Tokopedia COO, Melissa Siska Juminto said, as a marketplace, Tokopedia wants to provide a safe, transparent and efficient online experience.
"The ease of online shopping is very important to be sustained with optimal protection. We pay close attention to this aspect, so that Toppers can shop in peace and comfort without worrying about the delivery of goods, "said Melissa in Jakarta, Wednesday (4/4/2018).
Melissa added that in addition to improving the experience in shopping, through the protection services of Tokio Marine, it also wants to encourage more people to try the convenience and security of online shopping through the Tokopedia platform.

Tokio Marine also welcomed the cooperation for this freight insurance with Tokopedia. "Together with Tokopedia, we hope to contribute in educating Indonesians about the ease and safety of online shopping through e-commerce platform," said Tokio Marine Indonesia President Director Josef Gunawan Setyo.
Through cooperation with Tokio Marine, the use of shipping insurance will become easier, given the uniformity of service options, including in terms of insurance premiums, operational standards, and categories of insurable goods. Users can also make claims directly through the Tokopedia resolution center.
Insurance from Tokio Marine can also be accessed easily. On the Add to Cart page, Toppers will be given the option of using insurance with an additional 0.2% premium on the item price. The insurance coverage to be given to Toppers is worth the price of the goods added with the postage.
If in the process of delivery of goods occurred damage or loss, then the Toppers can complain within 1x24 hours since receipt of goods has been received. Tokopedia will process the claim by requesting confirmation of damage or loss from the shipping expedition.
Upon confirmation, an investigation process of Tokio Marine will be conducted for 1x24 working hours after the claim document is submitted. If approved, Tokio Marine will confirm to Tokopedia for the indemnity process sent directly by Tokopedia to Toppers.
