INDUSTRY.co.id - Jakarta - Minister of Communication and Information (Menkominfo) Rudiantara asserted that the government does not hesitate to close the Facebook platform if the world's largest social media is a place for spreading false news, as happened in Rohingya ethnic.
"I took the position, I threatened to close up and the government has no doubts if it should close up if used for the hoax," said Rudiantara in in Ministry of Communications and Informatics (Kemkominfo) Building, Jakarta, Thursday (5/4/2018)
After Facebook admitted to being used as an anti-Rohingya propaganda tool in Myanmar, Rudiantara said he did not want anything similar to happen in Indonesia.

Although he considered Facebook up from three platforms that are less cooperative, ie only meet 50 percent of the request Kemkominfo close the content that is considered not fit the norm since two years ago.
"This is what I want to convey to the public, that this is the reason, I personally do not have the intention to close anything like that, must be maintained for the benefit of the state and society," said Rudiantara.
