INDUSTRY.co.id - Jakarta - Citi Indonesia and PT Garuda Indonesia (Persero) Tbk are collaborating on improving services and providing additional benefits to consumers of Garuda Indonesia Citi Card (GICC) credit card holders.

Citi Indonesia CEO Batara Sianturi in the inauguration of the cooperation at Terminal 3 of Soekarno Hatta Airport, Tangerang on Thursday, said the additional benefit to customers is a commitment to bring innovative products according to the needs of tourism (traveling) is growing.

"There is a change of public consumption towards 'traveling' This segment is increasing, culinary and roads will become lifestyle of Indonesian consumers," said Batara.

Batara said GICC was first present in 2016 as the first "co-branding" credit card in the category of tourism in Indonesia. "The segment of Garuda Indonesia itself is 10% and we want to keep doubling," he said.

The potential to grow significantly, according to him, is very big because credit card use transactions for Garuda Indonesia reach Rp15 million per consumer per month. "GICC currently accounts for 13 percent of Citi's total credit card usage, so it's a good segment where we have not done better yet," he said.

President Director of Garuda Indonesia Pahala Mansury, said that the cooperation is a continuation of service improvement to provide added value for service users.

"As one of the banks with the largest credit card customer network in Indonesia and with more than 1.7 million GarudaMiles users today, this additional service is expected to attract new market segments," he said.

Additional facilities for GICC card holders include the addition of 20 kg of baggage above the current baggage conditions in economy and business class; a special "check-in" counter at Soekarno-Hatta Airport Domestic Terminal 3 Ultimate and GarudaMiles Gold; as well as a 5% discount for ticket purchases at official sales offices and official websites.

Then, triple "miles" for transactions in Garuda Indonesia and double the "miles" for all transactions in every Rp20,000 spend; bonus "miles"; priority in ticket reservation waiting list; and special "boarding" calls at selected airports. (tar)
