Facing Eid Holiday, April 16 KAI Sell 23,752 Additional Tickets

INDUSTRY.co.id - Jakarta (ANTARA News) - PT Kereta Api Indonesia (Persero) will sell 40 additional train tickets from Monday (16/4) at 00:01 am to accommodate a surge of passengers ahead of Eid Al Fitr 2018.

In a press conference at Gambir Station, Jakarta, Friday, President Director of PT KAI Edi Sukmoro mentioned 23,752 "seats" per day. The Additional Train will be sold simultaneously from April 16 to early morning.

"The public can make regular ticket booking either through KAI Access application, KAI website, contact center 121 ', minimarket outlet and online bank point payment network," said Edi.

He explained the names of 20 trains from Senen and Gambir Markets with various destinations, such as Solo, Yogyakarta, Kutoarjo, Semarang Tawang, Malang, Surabaya Pasarturi, Cilacap and Blitar starting from 8 June to 25 June 2018.

However, there are several railway names that operate early, for example, Kertajaya Idul Fitri, Brantas Lebaran and Mataram Premium which start operated 5 to 25 June 2018.

Meanwhile, until April 13, 2018, of the total number of regular long and medium rail seats totaling 2,257,904 seats, 42.91 percent have been sold.

"There are still 50 percent of seats remaining," he said.

PT KAI this year added total train travel of about 4 percent from 379 trips in 2017 to 393 trips by 2018.

To improve services to rail service users during the Eid transportation period, PT KAI will hold a takjil distribution program and break the fast and share the meal for passengers on the last ten days of fasting.

PT KAI also opened Lulu 2018 Transportation Station for 22 days from 5 June to 26 June 2018. During the post, all employees of PT KAI will be maximized to help smooth service at the stations.
