US President Donald Trump has ordered the implementation of an attack on Syria by targeting chemical weapons users following last week's toxic gas attack, which killed at least 60 people.
Trump said a joint operation between the United States and France and Britain was moving towards the target and that they were ready to continue that action until Syria suspended the use of chemical weapons.
"I have just ordered the United States Armed Forces to conduct a precise attack against targets related to Syrian dictator's chemical weapons capabilities Bashar al-Assad," Trump said in a televised address from the White House. When Trump spoke, a number of explosions were heard in Damascus.
