INDUSTRY.co.id - Jakarta- The Indonesian government should urge the UN Security Council to immediately hold an emergency session to discuss the issue of US and allied troop attacks on Syria.
"The attacks by the United States of France and France on Syria are unfortunate because there is no mandate from the UN Security Council, whatever the reason," said Hikmahanto Juwana, a professor of international law at the University of Indonesia (UI) in Jakarta, Saturday (14/4/2018)
In addition, the Indonesian government should ask states to refrain from making this offensive into a hot war between countries.
Earlier, the United States began a military offensive into Syria before dawn on Saturday, and loud explosions echoed throughout the Syrian capital Damascus.
Red dots are seen flying from land to sky, which is seen as an air defense against the US attack, according to state television and Xinhua reporters in Damascus.
Meanwhile, French President Emmanuel Macron said on Saturday he had ordered military intervention in Syria with the United States and Britain in an attack on the country's chemical weapons arsenal. (Ant)
