Soetta Airport Development Increases 114 Aircraft Movements / Hours

INDUSTRY.co.id - Tangerang- The development of Soekarno-Hatta Airport with the construction of the east-cross taxiway and the third runway can increase the aircraft's movement from 81 aircraft movements to 114 aircraft per hour.

"Soekarno-Hatta now has 81 movements per hour, so 114 movements per hour," said Minister of Transportation Budi Karya Sumadi in a review at Soekarno-Hatta International Airport, Tangerang, Sunday (15/4/2018)

Thus, the movement of the aircraft can be smoothly without having to queue longer.

"Now it is expected to be 30 percent up, so 'take off-landing' can be faster and not queue anymore," he told media crew.

He said that in addition to improving aircraft movement, Soekarno-Hatta International Airport is also encouraged to accommodate 100 million passengers per year from 63 million passengers per year.

On the same occasion, President Director of PT Angkasa Pura II as the operator explained that the land acquisition has been completed 115 hectares of 216 hectares and is targeted from August to September.

"It's done in August-September, we're doing parallel, we're going to start by the end of the month of the PP, so it will start with those already released," he added.

He said the third runway is targeted in June or August 2019, while for "east cross taxi way" is completed in April and verification is July 2019.

Meanwhile, for "cargo village" is also under construction and is targeted to be doubled, from 760 tons per year to 1.5 million tons per year.

The investment value for the east-cross taxiway, which is Rp1.5 trillion, commenced on January 25, 208 and is targeted for completion on July 18, 2019.

Meanwhile, for the third runway, the work is divided into two, namely for the first section with a contract value of Rp799 billion, while for the second section of the contract value of Rp724 billion with the contractor implementing PT PP and Construction Management PT Cirijasa Cipta Mandiri.
