Global Port Company Singapore is Interested to Invest in Sabang

Mayor of Sabang, Nazaruddin through the Head of Public Relations and Public Relations Division, Bahrul Fikri, said that companies engaged in seaport, airport and tourist destinations want to invest in the National Tourism Strategic Area (KSPN).

"Ceo and President of Global Port Henry Tan said they want to invest in Sabang, in a brief meeting with the Mayor of Sabang Nazaruddin in Malaysia," Bahrul said.

The meeting was also attended by Wali Nanggoe Aceh Malik Mahmud Al-Haytar, Chairman of Aceh Party (local party) and former Deputy Governor of Aceh Muzakir Manaf and Head of Culture and Culture Office (Disparbud) of Sabang Ali Taufiq.

"In the meeting the President of Global Port Company also expressed, Sabang City is strategically located and is eager to develop ports, airports and tourism industry," said Bahrul.

Furthermore, he said, the company is also eager to establish cooperation with the City Government of Sabang such as, development of E-Security and Finance, tourism industry, port and airport.

Then, the development of a public ferry terminal ferry terminal from Sabang-Banda Aceh and vice versa. "It means that all existing facilities in Sabang will be utilized to improve the economy of society and later the parties will collaborate," said Bahrul.

He acknowledged, Mayor Sabang Nazaruddin welcomed the offer of cooperation from Global Port Company related to the development of Sabang area for the welfare of the community.

"The government welcomes the investor's intentions, even we put the hope that investment can be realized and its estuary can prosper the community," said Bahrul.
