TIMAH Continues to Increase Existence in International Markets

He explained that currently the existence of PT Timah is quite recognized world tin market. "PT Timah is currently the second largest tin producer in the world after China, and PT Timah's performance is also getting better thanks to the support of local governments and communities," he said.

PT Timah's Finance Director Emil Ermindra said that although the company's performance is improving, in the first quarter of 2018 the company still faces weather and export regulation.

"Until March 2018, the company earned a positive profit, but there are two obstacles faced namely the still high rainfall," he said.

In addition, there are changes in export regulations from the government. But performance is still very positive even though still below target. "We remain optimistic that this year's target will be achieved well according to the target set," he said.
