Pelindo III Introduces Home Terminal in Singapore

INDUSTRY.co.id - Surabaya - PT Pelabuhan Indonesia (Pelindo) III introduces the application of "Home Terminal" which is made to accelerate and simplify the process of ordering port service at TOC Asia international event in Singapore.

Commercial & Operational Director of Pelindo III, Mohammad Iqbal who became one of the speakers at the event, Wednesday (25/4/2018) admitted intentionally introduced the application to overcome the many problems in the port, ranging from traffic congestion, the queue at the service center to the cost which is not transparent.

"Therefore, to solve the problem we are innovating to create Home Terminal Applications: Port Solution in 1 Touch which was officially launched last February in Jakarta," said Iqbal.


He said the port service in the present era should be easy, fast and transparent in accordance with that applied in the application, which has a four-feature service with terminal operating system (TOS).

"The services we offer ranging from vessel service, port activities, logistics, and container management, allowing users to monitor the movement of ships and their goods in real-time online through devices," he said.

He claims, the application was the first in Indonesia with the benefits of efficiency because the reduction of operational costs set transparently.

Meanwhile, the TOC Asia event takes place at Singapore Maritime Week, Marina Bay Sands, Singapore from Tuesday (24/4) to Wednesday (25/4). And is a prestigious event that runs since 1995 for the world of shipping, ports and terminals.

At the event, it also brings together Shippers, Logistics Providers, Shipping Lines, 3PLs, Port Authorities, Terminal Operators and presents the latest technological developments. (Ant)
