PT JIEP Wins Green Industrial Area Award Top BUMD 2018

INDUSTRY.co.id - Jakarta - PT Pulogadung Industrial Estate (JIEP) was awarded Top BUMD 2018 as an integrated green industrial area held at Balai Kartini, Thursday (3/5/2018). It has applied three R namely Reuse, Reduce and Recycle.

Reuse means reusing garbage that can still be used for the same function or other functions. Reduce means reducing everything that results in waste. And Recycle means reprocessing waste recycling into useful items or products.

President Director of PT Jakarta Industrial Estate Pulogadung, Landi R Mangaweang, said that the company is also empowering environmental partnership program (PKBL) by empowering potentials around industrial areas, such as home industry, there is also a hydroponic garden.

"Our industrial estates are born amid dense settlements, thus we must be able to control the environmental impacts that exist around us. This is the second award he achieved, "he explained.

To earn revenue, it also plans to open a new field of logistics services and supply chain management. As is known growth of e-commerce increasingly rapidly. "Therefore we are targeting the construction of new warehouses can be realized in the second half of this year. So it can boost new revenue for JIEP, in addition to leasing of land lots, "he concluded.

To be known also there are four BUMD DKI Jakarta Province that managed to reach Top BUMD 2018 namely, PT Jakarta Propertindo (Jakpro), PT Food Station Tjipinang Raya, PT Bank DKI and PT Jakarta Industrial Estate Pulogadung (JIEP)

As is known, JIEP is the organizer as well as development of the first Industrial Zone in Indonesia which is headquartered in Pulogadung, East Jakarta. The company was founded in 1973 with 50% share ownership of the Government of Indonesia and 50% of the Provincial Government of DKI Jakarta.

In 2014 JIEP transforms its business by conducting various activities to increase the added value of the area, including the construction of facilities as well as infrastructure such as Integrated Banking Center, E-Commerce Warehouse, Creative Industries Business Center (SUIK), Until Culinary Center.
