INDUSTRY.co.id - Jakarta, Minister of Industry (Menperin) Airlangga Hartarto said, in consolidating the fourth industrial revolution in the country, Indonesia needs a lot to learn from Germany, especially about the training of human resources (HR) industry.
"The reason is, Germany is the example of industry 4.0," said Airlangga after official statement in Jakarta (4/5/2018).
He asserted, behind the robot there is still a workforce, so it takes training and reskilling especially for the younger generation to deal with this 4.0 industry.
According to the Minister of Industry, the industrial revolution 4.0 is not to replace the workforce, but the job change. For example, which occurred in the country, in this digital era emerging online transport services such as Go-Jek and Grab.
"It is also marked also by the growth of e-commerce and others, which can even add jobs," he explained.
So, Airlangga continued, the 4.0 industrial revolution is a challenge and a very good opportunity for Indonesia.
"With Industry 4.0, our manufacturing sector will become more efficient, productive and competitive in the world," he said.
