INDUSTRY.co.id - Jakarta- The Indonesian Consumers Foundation (YLKI) assesses that the mass strike plan to be carried out by Garuda (Sekarga) Employees Union and Garuda Pilot Association (APG) is expected to not harm consumers in obtaining services.
"The strike is the right of trade unions, but not directly related to Garuda's operational services to consumers," said the member of YLKI Sularsi as stated in a written statement received in Jakarta on Friday (4/5/2018)
He said, Sekarga and APG have responsibility to consumers. So if a strike has to be done without shutting down service operations.
Sularsi added, the strike is the last alternative and the risk is very harmful to consumers. To that end, Sekarga and APG can not ignore their responsibility to provide the best service to consumers. '' That means a good strike, responsible. The ministry must stay the way, '' he said.
Garuda Indonesia General Director and Human Resources Sari Suharso told media crews that the management has taken mitigation measures to anticipate the condition.
However, he said, the management continued to appreciate the input of Sekelu and APG, in line with the growing business dynamics. Even workers are invited to support management efforts in improving company performance.
"In principle, we open the most room to Sekawar and APG colleagues to discuss and discuss related peer-related concerns about the development and sustainability of the company," said Sari.
