Bekraf Targets 17 Million Creative Economy To 2019

INDUSTRY.co.id - Jakarta - Creative Economy Agency targets to absorb the creative economy by 17 million up to 2019.
"So many efforts, training and guidance to the community throughout Indonesia continue to do," said Poppy Savitri as Director of Creative Economy Education Creative Economy Agency (Bekraf) in Manado, North Sulawesi Province, Sunday (6/5/2018).
Poppy said one of the efforts was a "Coding Mum" training to be conducted in cities in Indonesia, and this time took place in Manado City. "Coding Mum" is one of Bekraf's flagship programs in collaboration with Kolla Space.
This activity aims to provide "coding" training to housewife mothers with disabilities and migrant workers abroad. By presenting carefully selected mentors and professionals, the "Coding Mum" activity, which began in 2016, has been considered successful and successfully graduated more than 300 participants. He added that the training is also part of Bekraf's big scenario in order to achieve strategic goals in the effort to absorb the workforce of the creative economy sector, so as to achieve the target of 17 million people creative economy actors in 2019.
After Manado, he said, the activity of "Coding Mum" is also being and will be held in several other cities namely, Surabaya, Samarinda, Batam, Sorong, Pontianak, Lampung and Palembang. While abroad, the event is planned to be held in Kuala Lumpur, Singapore, Bandar Sri Begawan, Hong Kong, Shanghai and Seoul.
