Chinese Government Ready to Add 2 Million Ton Imported Palm From Indonesia

INDUSTRY.co.id - Bogor, the Government of China declared ready to accept the palm oil commodity from Indonesia as much as two million tons as a form of cooperation in the field of trade between the two countries.

Prime Minister Li Keqiang said palm oil and palm oil have a sizeable market in China so the Chinese Government will increase their imports of palm oil products from Indonesia.

"China is ready to add two million tons of palm oil and palm oil from Indonesia," said PM Keqiang in Jakarta (7/5/2018) night.

Li said it would buy Indonesian agricultural products in addition to palm oil, such as tropical fruits. Therefore, he hopes the Government of Indonesia can provide comfort to entrepreneurs to increase exports and imports of both countries.

"We hope that in this regard Indonesia will also provide comfort to entrepreneurs from China and I believe that this will show that we will be able to get mutual benefits from export and import trade," he added.

Meanwhile, Vice President Jusuf Kalla said the Government of Indonesia continues to make changes to a better direction and implement policies that can accelerate economic growth through foreign investment, including from China.

"The Government of Indonesia continues to make economic reforms to improve economic performance and create an attractive business climate," said Kalla.
