President of Jokowi Accept Award of Inspirational Figures 2018

INDUSTRY.co.id - Jakarta, President Joko Widodo received the "Top 10 Most Outstanding People 2018" award from the Infobank Magazine Editors' Board.

The appreciation was given to the national figures who were considered to have contributed and inspired the very positive economic, social and political development for Indonesia.

The award for the President was received by the Minister of Communications and Informatics Rudiantara, who was sent by the Head of State who was unable to attend, in the event at the Grand Hyatt Hotel Ballroom, Jakarta, Friday (5/11/2018) night.

In addition, President Joko Widodo, the awards were also given to 9 other national figures, namely, Boediono, Vice President RI period 2009-2014; Ahmad Syafi'i Ma'arif, a Muslim scholar; Agus Martowardojo, Governor of BI; Muhammad Zainul Majdi, Governor of NTB; Djohan Emir Setijoso, President Commissioner of BCA; Terawan Agus Putranto, Head of RSPAD Gatot Subroto; Nadiem Makarim, Founder of GO-JEK; Maximus Tipagau, Papuan community leader; and Karni Ilyas, Chief Editor of TVOne.

The selection of 10 national figures with various backgrounds was done through the assessment track record of dozens of national figures for the last five years, from 2013 to 2018.

Chairman of the Eko B. Supriyanto Assessment Team mentioned that the chosen figure has contributed and inspired Indonesia through their respective roles.

"We want a better Indonesia. We chose these ten figures because we value them for contributing and inspiring the very positive economic, social and political development for Indonesia through their respective roles. And, tonight, we want to give appreciation to them, "said Eko B. Supriyanto, Chief Editor of Infobank Board.

The awards ceremony was witnessed by about 150 invitations from various government institutions, state-owned enterprises, banking and financial services, legislative bodies, and mass media leaders.

The event was also filled with Executive Lecture entitled "Building Stability, Harmony, and Progress of the Nation". Executive Lecture delivered by four national figures, namely Boediono, Vice President RI period 2009-2014; Ahmad Syafi'i Ma'arif, a Muslim scholar; Agus DW Martowardojo, Governor of Bank Indonesia (BI); and Muhammad Zainul Majdi, Governor of West Nusa Tenggara (NTB).
