Indonesia's e-commerce business from 2015 is estimated to increase from 10-fold by 2020, with a valuation of USD 130 billion or equivalent to Rp 1,800 trillion.
INDUSTRY.co.id - Jakarta - Coordinating Ministry of Economic Affairs in Indonesia's e-commerce roadmap study stated that the e-commerce business of Indonesia from 2015 is estimated to increase from 10-fold by 2020, with valuation of USD 130 billion or equivalent to Rp 1,800 trillion.
Director General of Post and Information Technology Implementation of the Ministry of Communications and Informatics, Ahmad Ramli said, it can be realized if created 1,000 digital technopreneur with valuation of business USD 10 billion or equivalent Rp 138 trillion.
"This is a big potential for the national logistics post, but e-commerce is also successful if it is supported by strong logistics," said Ahmad Ramli in the National Seminar of Logistics Industry Contribution for Digital Economy, Jakarta, Monday (14/05/2018).
He continued the government, through the Ministry of Communications and Informatics encourage the acceleration of 4G broadband development throughout Indonesia. In addition, the government also encourages the development of infrastructure, roads, ports and airports that will support the smooth flow of logistics movement forward.
One of them is Indonesia's ranking based on Logistic Performance Index, which dropped to 63 in 2016. In fact, in 2014, Indonesia is in the order of 43.
