BPS Record April 2018 Export Value Down 7.18 Percent

INDUSTRY.co.id - Jakarta, Central Bureau of Statistics (BPS) recorded export value of April 2018 decreased by 7.18 percent from March 2010 period of US $ 15.59 billion to US $ 14.47 billion. However, this figure grew 9.01 percent on an annual basis (yoy).
"The decline is due to the decline in exports, both in the oil and gas sector and non oil and gas," said BPS Head Suhariyanto at his office on Tuesday (15/05/2018).
He said the details of exports included oil and gas exports of US $ 1.19 billion, down 11.32 percent from March 2018. Meanwhile, non-oil and gas exports were recorded at US $ 13.28 billion, down 6.80 percent compared to March 2018.
The largest decrease of April 2018 non-oil / gas exports to March 2018 occurred in mineral fuel of US $ 416.4 million (18.18 percent), while the largest increase occurred in vehicles and its share of US $ 72.5 million (12.59 percent).
Meanwhile, the decline in oil and gas exports was due to the decline in oil export of 3.60 percent to US $ 115.6 million and crude oil exports fell 39.05 percent to US $ 281.2 million.
"Cumulatively, the value of Indonesian exports from January to April 2018 reached US $ 58.74 billion, an increase of 8.77 percent compared to the same period in 2017," he said.
