J & T Express Donate 8,000 Books on National Book Day

The donation of reading books is given to TBY, a non-profit organization that houses 23 reading parks spread across Indonesia from Java, West Kalimantan, to West Southeast Maluku with the mission of providing access to quality reading books for underprivileged children in the regions rural.

Quoted from the data of United Nations Educational, Scientific, and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) in 2017 shows, the percentage of reading interest of Indonesian children is only 0.01% per year. That is, from 10,000 children of the nation, only one person who enjoys reading.

Looking at it J & T Express wants to actively support reading interest of children through organizations that spread this positive habit. With the addition of reading parks and reading books will certainly have a significant impact to encourage interest in reading children.

On this occasion J & T Express donated various types of books including notebook category, PAUD reading book, kindergarten, and elementary school, encyclopedia of science books, English, maps and others.
