INDUSTRY.co.id - Jakarta, Businessmen open their vote regarding the decision of Bank Indonesia to hoist interest rate by 25 basis points to 4.5%. The decision was not considered significant.
Chairman of the Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Kadin) Rosan P. Roeslani said the policy would not have a significant impact if the government did not act quickly respond.
The reason, added Rosan, Fed Fund Rate will also continue to climb throughout this year.
"Yes, because with the existing rate of absorption of the existing loan has not been maximized, so the impact is not great, the government must also act quickly, the fed also will rise again really," Rosan said in Jakarta (21/5/2018).
Rosan said business actors had anticipated the increase in interest so he was sure there would be no shocks with such tightening measures.
"No, it will not be significant in my opinion. The business world has anticipated, it's going up 0.25%, later it will rise again 0.25%," he said.
