Hutama Karya Ready to Finish Lombok Airport Support

INDUSTRY.co.id - Jakarta - PT Hutama Karya (Persero) expressed its readiness to complete the construction of supporting facilities and infrastructure of Lombok International Airport, West Nusa Tenggara after signing the contract of design and build work of several facilities.

In a press release in Jakarta, Thursday (24/5/2018) a number of infrastructure facilities will be completed, including apron two "parking stand", "exit way", refinement of "airside" related facilities and supporting facilities.

Head of Region IV Hutama Karya Andung Damar Sasongko describes simultaneous project work from land improvement, taxiway making, increase in carrying capacity of "taxiway alpha", expansion of "runway" 13 and 31, extension of "service road" to mechanical work and other electrical.

"For mechanical and electrical work, the scope of work is apron and taxiway edge light, apron flood light, sign parking stand taxiway guiding sign, elevation of alpha taxiway and runway turning light," he said.

On a separate occasion, Eastern Director of Hutama Karya Sugeng Rochadi said the project is targeted to be completed next year with a contract value of Rp238 billion.

It also hired local contractors in the project work.

"It is our custom to do so (involving local contractors, ed.) In order to foster the growth of local businesses and businesses," he said.

The development of Lombok International Airport facilities is done in line with the increasing number of flights to and from Lombok from year to year.

The expansion and improvement of the supporting facilities is expected to have an impact on the smoothness of air traffic at airports that will reduce the potential for delays and aircraft accidents at airports.
