Referring to the results of the evaluation by the management of PT Angkasa Pura II (Persero), various preventive measures have been taken in handling and controlling luggage at Soekarno-Hatta International Airport, especially at each baggage exit entrance for passengers or personnel returning to the baggage claim site , namely the enforcement of the following matters, must pass through the "Security Check Point" for inspection by showing the boarding pass or entry pass document, must leave the ID card / driver's license, must perform physical inspection with metal detector ), must be escorted to passengers by Aviation Security officers into the terminal building to meet with the party, airport security officer (Aviation Security) at the terminal will monitor the length of time that passengers are inside the terminal building.
In addition, based on the Regulation of the Minister of Transportation Number: PM 49 of 2012 on Standard of Passenger Economy Service of Domestic Scheduled Domestic Services related to the obligations of airlines in the Collection of Checked Baggage as referred to in Article 53 letter a mention that the information and service of airline officers must provide correct information and it is clear about the location of baggage collection recorded at the arrival terminal of the destination airport, and the availability of airline officers to check the suitability between recorded baggage labels and checked baggage.
"We are together with Garuda Indonesia and Gapura Angkasa land handlers have checked baggage carried out by passengers in accordance with their 'baggage tags' to ensure ownership and security of baggage," he said.
