INDUSTRY.co.id - Kendari- The physical work of Kendari Port of Newport Southeast Sulawesi will be completed 100 percent by October 2018, said General Manager of Pelindo IV Kendari Branch, Muhammad Irfan. "Kendari Newport's entire physical work package will be completed in October and can be operated," said Irfan in Kendari, Sunday (3/6/3028)

He said that of the three packages of port projects that complete 100 percent is the first package of port dock construction.

"The second package is reclamation and storage of cultivation field or goods terminal which has reached 43 percent and will be accelerated until September 2018," he said.

The third package of work, namely offices and other supporting facilities has reached 10 percent and will be accelerated as well until September 2018.

The development of Kendari Newport which cost Rp936 billion to support the plan of direct shipping system abroad through the port in Kendari and in order to prepare the port in Kendari as an international port.

"The budget is Rp635 billion from State Equity Participation (PMN) and internal fund of Rp301 billion," he said. (Ant)
