JOOX and AirAsia Bring Music Without Internet on Aircraft

INDUSTRY.co.id - Jakarta - JOOX, an online digital music service provider in Indonesia, entered into an agreement with AirAsia Group Indonesia. By presenting the Lebaran program for all AirAsia passengers ie music and Travel.

Through this collaboration, AirAsia passengers have the opportunity to access JOOX music catalogs without internet while traveling and Fly Away program that combines the activities of watching music concerts by traveling.

Benny Ho, Senior Director of Business Development, International Business Group, Tencent said it was trying to understand the things that are becoming a trend among young people. Travel and music concerts are two things that always intersect.

"Therefore, working with AirAsia is one of the things that can support the trend and in line with the commitment of JOOX is that music can be heard anywhere and anytime" said Benny Ho in his statement (19/5) in Jakarta.

In addition, he said all AirAsia passengers who purchase domestic routes during the period May 28 - June 28, 2018 can enjoy the service JOOX VIP for 1 month. Music can be enjoyed when they travel by downloading their favorite songs beforehand and play them through their JOOX app while traveling.

Not only that, Joox took AirAsia to hold a Fly Away program that combines the activities of watching music concerts with traveling. In June 2018 period, JOOX users can follow Fly Away activities that will send lucky users to fly to Japan and witness one of Asia's biggest music concerts.

For AirAsia itself, this collaboration with JOOX is part of their ongoing effort to enhance the travel experience by keeping every customer entertained on board and making music concerts as one of the travel destinations.

AirAsia Indonesia Commercial Director, Rifai Taberi, said that his party is very enthusiastic to welcome this cooperation. Furthermore, Rifai believes this collaboration with Joox helps his airline to compete with other airlines, especially in adding value.

"In line with our commitment to continue to transform digitally, this collaboration is the first step to provide a memorable flight experience with a wide range of music that can be selected and enjoyed for free," said Rifai.

Furthermore, Rifai believes the collaboration with JOOX helps its airlines compete with other airlines, especially in adding value.

"In today's competitive landscape, continuing to innovate and focus on customer needs is an important component for companies to increase loyalty and become customers' top choice," he added.

JOOX itself has been actively collaborating with various leading brands because of the increasingly intensive competition in the category of musicstreaming services, one of which is with GO-JEK late last year.
