Minister of Industry meets Konawe Regent Discusses Industrial Development

INDUSTRY.co.id - Jakarta, Minister of Industry, Airlangga Hartarto today received the visit of Konawe Regent, Kery Saiful Kanggoasa at the office of the Ministry of Industry, Jakarta (18/7/2017).

During the meeting, one of them discussed the development of industrial estate especially in Konawe district, Southeast Sulawesi.

The government is targeting to make economic equity outside Java. To achieve this, the government plans to build 14 new industrial estates, one of which is located in Konuo, Southeast Sulawesi.

Previously, Airlangga said it was facilitating the development of 14 industrial estates outside Java in an effort to accelerate the ideals of the government for the equity of the industry and make the development of Indonesia centric.

"The existence of industries in this region will provide multiplier effect for the regional and national economy so as to prosper the community," he said.

As is known, the Ministry of Industry (Kemenperin) is encouraging the acceleration of the development of Konawe Industrial Area in Southeast Sulawesi. The acceleration is a form of implementation of President Joko Widodo's directive to focus the government agenda in 2017 on equity

The integrated industrial zone with an area of ​​2,000 hectares will attract investment of Rp 78 trillion and create a direct labor force of 20,000 people, and not directly reach 80,000 people.
