In the Bandung Raya Bandung Investment Needs Plan document 2016, the local government plans to develop Fly Over Kopo and Buah Batu, Ciwidey cross roads, Soreang-Ketapang-Baleendah-Majalaya highways, Majalaya cross roads and Banjaran highways.

While the transportation infrastructure that is being prepared is LRT Bandung Raya, which is a cooperation agreement between West Java Provincial Government which passes five areas of Bandung, Bandung Regency, West Bandung Regency, Cimahi, and Sumedang. LRT Bandung Raya will be terintergarasi into three corridors that lead to the area of ​​South Bandung.

"In general, the development of infrastructure and transportation facilities in the South Bandung region will be improved given the economic growth potential of the region is very high," he said.

Meanwhile, Transportation Practitioner from Institut Teknologi Bandung, Ade Sjafruddin, said the improvement of South Bandung transportation system needs to be placed on the framework of integration of development of sustainable transportation system as a whole.

"The steps to build a sustainable transport system need to be realized by formulating the appropriate policy of regulatory content, operating standards, efficient technology selection and enhancing perceptions and public participation through the framework of integrated planning," explained Ade.
