Ngurah Rai Airport Serves 1.3 Million Eid Passengers

INDUSTRY.co.id - Denpasar - PT Angkasa Pura I said that I Gusti Ngurah Rai International Airport, Bali, serves 1.3 million passengers during the 18 days of Eid transportation or an increase of 11.6 percent compared to the previous year.

"The increase in passengers was triggered by a longer Eid holiday accompanied by school holidays," said General Manager of PT Angkasa Pura I I Gusti Ngurah Rai International Airport Yanus Suprayogi after closing the post of integrated monitoring of Eid 2018 transport in Denpasar, Monday (25/6/2018)

Yanus said the peak density of passenger movement as a whole occurred on June 23, 2018 recorded as many as 78,773 passengers.

However, the peak of passenger arrivals occurred on June 15, 2018 or on the day of Eid reached 39,867, while the peak passenger departure occurred on June 22, 2018 reached 40,415 passengers.

Regarding the movement of the aircraft, it noted the peak of arrival occurred on June 22, 2018 as many as 234 aircraft and for departure peak occurred on 13 and 22 June 2018 as many as 240 aircraft.

Although observed solid, according to Yanus it does not affect the services assessed to keep running safe and smooth.

"The number of passengers and airplane movements when compared with the daily average increased 20.9 percent, directly proportional to the increase in aircraft movement by 5.6 percent," Yanus added.

Meanwhile, the number of flights during Eid 2018 traffic monitoring reached 8,131 flights or increased 8.5 percent compared to the previous year.

Since June 7, 2018, or H-8 Eid until the post closure there are 176 additional flights used by eight airlines to accommodate the high traffic passengers at the local airport.
