INDUSTRY.co.id - Jakarta - PT Pelayaran Tempuran Emas Tbk or TEMAS Line, continues to strengthen its network nationwide. Throughout the year 2017, the Company has opened 10 new routes, among others, Tarjun, Padang, Bengkulu, Fakfak, Berau, Tarakan, Dobo, Kaimana, Nabire and Bau Bau. Of all the routes, which entered into the T-4 toll sea program, the route: Surabaya-Bau Bau-Manokwari-Surabaya.
The TMAS stock-coded company has also added ports in potential areas such as Agats, Wasior, Bontang, Benete (NTB) so that the total port service up to June 2018 is 41 ports, from 38 ports in 2017.
"As an effort to strengthen the national network's advantages, the Company always participates in every government-initiated toll tender, and in April 2018, TEMAS Line won the Toll Sea subscriber auction on two routes and signed a partnership with the government. Three trajectories TEMAS Line namely T-9 and T-11.T-9 serves the Surabaya-Nabire-Serui-Wasior route, while the T-11 serves Surabaya-Timika-Agats-Merauke, "said Teddy Arief Setiawan, Independent Director of TEMAS Line, in a press release.
Furthermore, the Company will open a new line of business expansion to become One Stop Service Shipping Company that provides marine transportation service solutions, especially delivering goods in containers from upstream to downstream.
With the National Network supported by 34 units of 25,785 Teus vessels with total capacity of 25,785 Tons, the Company continues to improve its service to customers to remain a market leader by implementing safe delivery & On time schedule starting in 2017. In addition, the addition of supporting business tools is 5,600 units of containers also conducted so that the total containers as of December 31, 2017 amounted to 36,270 units.
The Company's performance during 2017 decreased due to 21.6% increase in fuel consumption, 16.8% increase in loading and unloading costs and a 21% decline in mining costs. Until the end of 2017, the Company's net income fell to Rp53.05 billion.
However, in other Company performance posts recorded significant increases. Sales target set by management at the beginning of 2017 can be reached at the end of the year amounting to Rp 2 trillion or an increase of 19.68% compared to the previous year in the same position. While the total assets of the Company amounted to Rp2.52 trillion in 2016, it now stands at Rp2.91 trillion, an increase of 15.56% in 2017.
In order to support the expansion of the delivery range of goods and potential customers, the Company will continue the opening of new routes, in addition to maintaining the Company's standard of service to customers in terms of maintaining confidence, timeliness and professional delivery safety.
In 2018, TEMAS Line Commercial Director Harry Haryanto said TEMAS Line targets profit growth of Rp150 billion. In line with that, total revenue is expected to increase by 15% from 2017 and operational costs until the end of this year will be pressed for profit achievement.
"We will spur efficiency to sustain positive growth this year by maximizing resources to achieve the company's business objectives," said Harry.
