Flyover Manahan Solo Development is targeted to be completed by October 2018

INDUSTRY.co.id - Jakarta - The Ministry of Public Works and People's Housing (PUPR) is currently completing the Manly Fly Over (FO) development in Solo City, which aims to overcome traffic congestion caused by crossing a Solo-Yogyakarta railway.

PUPR Minister Basuki Hadimuljono said FO Manahan is targeted to be completed in October 2018. Until June 6, 2018, FO Manahan's construction progress is in line with 26% plan. The cost of building a flyover along the 600 meters with a width of 9 meters is Rp 43.05 billion.

FO Manahan will facilitate the flow of vehicles from Jalan Adi Sucipto and Jalan MT. Haryono toward Jalan Dr. Moewardi and vice versa.

FO Manahan Development was carried out by the National Road Implementation Agency (BBPJN) VII, Directorate General of Highways in cooperation with Research Center of Road and Bridge (Pusjatan) Balitbang PUPR using corrugated mortar technology Pusjatan foam.

This technology is a technology development of lightweight mortar with corrugated steel structure. The same technology used previously by the Ministry of PUPR in building Antapani Flyover in Bandung, West Java which was inaugurated in 2017 ago.

"The advantages of CMP is a 50% faster construction period when compared to concrete construction. If using concrete construction takes 12 months, using CMP technology only takes 6 months, "said Minister Basuki.

In addition to faster time-side processing, CMP technology is also more efficient in terms of financing. Implementation of the CMP construction also does not require the closure of the vehicle lanes so as to have a very small impact on congestion around the construction site.

Another advantage of CMP has aesthetic value so that it can become a landscape and can even become a landmark of an area. The consumption of natural materials in the construction of CMP is much lower than the construction with concrete technology so it is environmentally friendly.

FO Manahan construction contractor namely PT. Yasa Patria Perkasa and PT. Virama Karya (Joint Operation) and project consultant is PT. Anugerah Kridapradana and PT Disiplen Consult. (Joint operation).

In the period 2015-2017, the Ministry of PUPR has built as many as 356 bridges in various regions in Indonesia with a total length of 22,808 meters. For 2018, the construction of 174 bridges with a total length of 13,639 meters.

In addition to the bridge is also built flyover and underpass, whose main purpose to break down congestion in urban areas. In the period 2015-2017 has been built 40 underpass / flyover with a total length of 11,325 meters. 2018 will be built 18 pieces underpass / flyover with a total length of 2691 meters.
