It said Hanif, Ambassador of Australia appreciated the Government of Indonesia which has a positive policy on human trafficking, illegal PMI shipments.
"The socialization of policies to raise awareness and knowledge for vulnerable groups or communities to be victims of this crime will be more effective if the approach is made through religious mass organizations," he explained.
Kemnaker's Head of Foreign Cooperation Bureau, Indah Anggoro Putri, added that the Walk Free Foundation already has a program to socialize and campaign because it has a wide network of interfaith organizations in Indonesia.
Putri revealed that Paramadina University along with Global Freedom Network Australia has committed with interfaith leaders (NU, Muhammadiyah, Indonesian Church Association) and Vice President Jusuf Kalla related to modern anti-slavery on March 14, 2017 in Jakarta.

In addition, Indonesia also has a Productive Productive Villages Program (Desmigrative) in PMI enclave villages. There are four main pillars promoted by the Desmigrative Program, forming a migration service center in the village where PMI originated, cultivating productive efforts of PMI and their families, facilitating the formation of the Desmigrative Learning House, and facilitating the establishment and development of Cooperatives / Financial Institutions.
According to Soes, with this Desmigrative, Nonprocedure PMI cases can be suppressed. Because it involves the village government in the placement process.
"Desmigrative this gets appreciation from various parties because this program does not exist in other countries," he said.
