Singapore Airlines Performs New Boeing 787-10 Aircraft Prime Flight

INDUSTRY.co.id - Jakarta - Singapore Airlines made its inaugural Boeing 787-10 aircraft flight in Denpasar, Bali. Flight SQ942 departs Singapore Changi Airport at 0915 (Singapore time) and arrives at Ngurah Rai International Airport, Bali at 1155 (WITA).

While the return flight SQ943 departs from Ngurah Rai International Airport, Bali at 1500 (WITA) and arrives at Singapore Changi Airport at 1740 (Singapore time).

"The development of these new products is the result of long-term work involving research on customers, and through partnerships with our designers and suppliers." Edwin Chiang, Singapore Airlines General Manager of Indonesia, said in a press release received by INDUSTRY.co.id , Tuesday (3/7/2018).

"We believe that we have excellent products for regional aviation operations - which can even surpass some cabin products remotely from other airlines."

Singapore Airlines was the first airline to operate the Boeing 787-10 aircraft. The new Boeing 787-10 aircraft owned by Singapore Airlines is equipped with 337 seats divided into two classes (36 Business Class seats with 1-2-1 seat configurations and 301 Economy Class seats with 3-3-3 seat configurations).

This aircraft brings full-flat beds and direct access to the aisles for all Business Class customers, ergonomically designed ergonomic backdrops with adjustable headrests into six positions on the Economy Class, as well as the experience of enjoying myKrisWorld, a personal entertainment system in flight.

The Boeing 787-10 aircraft is the latest variant in the Boeing 787 Dreamliner family and will be a key support for Singapore Airlines network growth in the coming decade. Overall, SIA has made a definite reservation of 49 Boeing 787-10 aircraft fleet with Boeing.

"Singapore Airlines will continue to work with many partners to ensure the sustainable growth of the tourism industry in Indonesia," said Edwin Chiang.

Together with SilkAir, currently SIA operates five daily flights from Singapore to Bali as well as 155 weekly flights to Indonesia.
