Starting July 11, Gempol - Pasuruan Toll Rates Set Rp 23.000

INDUSTRY.co.id - Jakarta - The Ministry of Public Works and People's Housing (PUPR) has set the tariff value of Gempol-Pasuruan Toll Road, East Java. The Ministerial Decree of Public Works and People's Housing came out shortly after President Joko Widodo inaugurated the Gempol-Pasuruan Toll Road segment of Rembang-Pasuruan, at the end of June.

Technical Director of PT Jasamarga Gempol Pasuruan, Ari Wibowo, stated that the tariff is based on Ministerial Decree of PUPR No.416 / KPTS / M / 2018 dated July 4, 2018.

"We socialize for seven days since the stipulation of the Minister of Public Works Decree and the implementation of tariff will be conducted starting on July 11, 2018 at 06.00 WIB," Ari said in the official broadcast on Sunday (8/7)

For information, Gempol-Pasuruan Toll Road is managed by PT Jasamarga Gempol Pasuruan. The 34.15 km toll road is divided into three sections. Two sections have been in operation.

The first is Section I (Gempol Junction-Rembang) 13.9 km long, operating since 2017. The second is Section II (Rembang-Pasuruan) as long as 6.6 km was inaugurated on June 22, 2018. While Section III (Pasuruan-Grati) still in the construction phase.

The Gempol-Pasuruan Toll Road is part of Trans Java as well as a highway that will connect two major cities in East Java, Surabaya-Banyuwangi.

Ari explained, based on the Decree of the Minister of PUPR, Gempol-Pasuruan Toll Road Tariff I and II (Gempol Junction-Rembang-Pasuruan) use a closed system. The tariff is Rp23.000 for 1st class toll road user from Gempol Junction to Pasuruan.

Ari added that the tariff is also applied with consideration, Gempol - Pasuruan Toll Road has been integrated with the Porong - Gempol Toll Road and the Gempol - Pandaan Toll Road section.

Therefore, toll road users will be charged the applicable integration rates on each segment. Ari explained the detailed example of the tariff scheme integration, as follows:

1. Toll road users of Class 1, entering from Toll Gate (GT) to Pasuruan, will be charged Porong toll-Gempol toll road worth Rp3.000, Gempol toll road fare of Rp2.500, and toll tariff of Gempol toll road - Pasuruan Rp23.000. So the total tariff is Rp28,500.

2. Toll road users of Group 1, entering from GT Pandaan to Pasuruan, will be charged the Gempol - Pandaan toll road tariff of Rp 8,000 and the Gempol - Pasuruan toll road tariff of Rp23,000. Thus, the total tariff for this second scheme example is Rp31,000.
