Government Establishes Gempol-Pasuruan Toll Rates

INDUSTRY.co.id - Jakarta- The government through the Ministry of Public Works and Public Housing (PUPR) set the tariff of the Gempol-Pasuruan Toll Road for group 1 Rp23 thousand.
"The tariff is in accordance with the Ministerial Decree of the Minister of PUPR No. 416 / KPTS / M / 2018 dated July 4, 2018 the tariff of vehicle type and the determination of tariff for Toll Road Gempol-Pasuruan Section I and II (Gempol Junction-Rembang-Pasuruan) PT Jasamarga Gempol Pasuruan, Ari Wibowo in his statement in Jakarta, Sunday (8/7/2018)
Ari explained, previously the toll has been socialized after the Toll Road Gempol-Pasuruan Segment Rembang-Pasuruan inaugurated by President Joko Widodo at the end of June 2018.
After the decision of the Minister of PUPR, the tariff is using a closed system and the amount is Rp23,000 for the first group toll road user from Gempol Junction to Pasuruan.
That is because the Gempol-Pasuruan Toll Road has been integrated with the Porong-Gempol Toll Road and the Gempol-Pandaan Toll Road, the toll road users will be charged the applicable integration tariff on each segment.
He gave an example, firstly, the first toll road user entering from Toll Gate (GT). The journey to Pasuruan will be charged Porong toll road - Gempol Rp3.000, Gempol - Pandaan toll road fare of Rp2,500 and Gempol to Pasuruan toll road tariff Rp23,000 for a total of Rp28,500.
Secondly, the 1st class toll road users entering from GT Pandaan to Pasuruan will be charged the Gempol - Pandaan toll road Rp8.000 and the Gempol to Pasuruan toll road tariff Rp23.000 for a total of Rp31.000.
"We will conduct socialization for seven days since the stipulation of the Ministerial Decree of PUPR and the implementation of tariff will be conducted starting on July 11, 2018 at 06.00 WIB," he said.
Gempol-Pasuruan Toll Road is managed by a group of PT Jasa Marga (Persero) Tbk PT Jasamarga Gempol Pasuruan.
The 34.15 km toll road is divided into three sections. The two sections that have been operating are Section I (Gempol Junction-Rembang) along 13.9 km, operating since 2017 and Section II (Rembang-Pasuruan) as long as 6.6 km which was inaugurated on June 22, 2018.

Ari added, as part of Trans Java, Gempol-Pasuruan Toll Road will be a part that connects the main city in East Java, Surabaya-Banyuwangi.
Gempol-Pasuruan Toll Road section has a strategic value for the smooth flow of goods and services transportation and is expected to spur economic growth in Java. (Ant)
