INDUSTRY.co.id - Jakarta, The construction sector is still the most attractive business for investors both domestically and abroad as the Indonesian government increasingly aggressively builds infrastructure.

This was conveyed by Vice Chairman of the Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Kadin) on Construction and Infrastructure Erwin Aksa in a discussion on "Construction Business Opportunities in Indonesia" held in Jakarta (18/7/2018) yesterday.

"Now the exciting business is in the field of infrastructure construction, because manufacturing is currently slowing down," said Erwin.

According to him, the current construction services can be regarded as one of the big shadow that can be utilized by national business actors in addition to various natural resources such as coal and oil palm.

However, he also highlighted that the "boom" of the construction sector still has some weaknesses such as in the aspects of human resources, technology, and also capital.

"That's why we see some things that should not happen (accidents while working on infrastructure construction)," he said.

Similarly, technology, where Erwin sees that today is the era of new technology in the field of construction indicated by the number of built "elevated road" or highways.

Added Erwin, in the field of human resources improvement, Kadin is also ready to cooperate with various parties such as the Ministry of Public Works and People's Housing in order to find solutions to speed up the certification to improve the quality of human resources construction.

"Most workers like the chief level do not have certification and diploma, we have to think about how they can have certificates," he said.

Erwin also warned that for the property sector is currently experiencing a decline, mainly related to apartment buildings for the upper middle class.

Erwin hopes the incessant infrastructure development proclaimed by the government can also cover the decline of property and absorb a lot of business services in the field of construction in the country.
