INDUSTRY.co.id - Jakarta - Minister of Public Works and Public Housing (PUPR) Basuki Hadimuljono said there were no new infrastructure projects undertaken by the Government in 2019 except for dam construction.
"We are at PUPR, focusing more on completing the program, so there are no new projects, except the dam," Basuki said when met after attending the 2019 RAPBN Meeting at the Nusantara Plenary Meeting Building MPR / DPR / DPD-RI, Jakarta, Thursday (16/8 / 2018)
Minister Basuki said the Ministry of PUPR would focus more on completing existing projects and was targeted to be completed in 2019, such as the Trans Papua Toll Road, Manado-Bitung, Balikpapan-Samarinda and Trans Sumatra. Meanwhile, the Trans Java Toll Road is targeted for completion by the end of 2018. However, the construction of 48 dams in 2019 will continue.
"In 2019 there were 48 dams that were worked on, then completed the work that had to be completed in 2019 like Papua, then Manado-Bitung, Balikpapan-Samarinda, and continued the Transumatra," Basuki told the media crew.
In his Speech of Submitting Introduction / Statement of the Government to the Bill on the 2019 State Budget, President Joko Widodo emphasized that in 2019, the government will continue to continue the completion of infrastructure development targets needed for development in the region.
By using APBN funds as a catalyst, the Government plans to build 667 kilometers of new national roads, 905 kilometers of toll roads, 48 units of dams and 162 thousand hectares of irrigation networks.
Since 2015 until now, the Government has built roads, reconstruction, and widening national roads along 12,783 kilometers, 11 new airports, and from 2016 to 2017 around 369 kilometers of railway lines have been built.
As a breakthrough, the acceleration of infrastructure development in the country will be carried out through an infrastructure development financing scheme outside the APBN by involving private parties.
"However, in a turbulent global situation, the Government will be careful to maintain infrastructure financing so that risks are maintained and sustainable," said President Jokowi.
