Ministry of Industry Continues to Encourage the Development of Lampung Industrial Estate

INDUSTRY.co.id - Jakarta, the Ministry of Industry continues to encourage industrial relocation from Java to Sumatra by utilizing a number of industrial estates (KI) under construction in Lampung. The government agreed to set accelerated development of three industrial estates as a step to make Lampung a new center of economic growth.
"Some of the programs we encourage to develop the Lampung industry are the development of industrial estate, human resource development and the development of IKM centers," said Minister of Industry, Airlangga Hartarto, when receiving the visit of Lampung Governor Ridho Ficardo at the Ministry of Industry , Jakarta (14/8/2017).
He added, while preparing the industrial Estate, we also promote Lampung as an investment destination outside of Java.
Meanwhile, Lampung Governor Ridho Ficardo welcomed the Minister of Industry's move to make Lampung a new investment destination. According to the Governor, the three development of KI is a follow-up of a limited meeting with President Joko Widodo and Vice President Jusuf Kalla together with Ministers of the Cabinet on 6 March 2017.

The governor also reports on the development of IKM processing center in Gedongtataan, Pesawaran. This center in 2018 received a central fund of Rp 5 billion for processing of dried cocoa beans into finished and semi-finished products.
In addition, the Governor also explained the revitalization of the center of SMEs tapis, in the State Katon, Pesawaran. This area also received a special allocation fund (DAK) 2018 amounting to Rp2 billion. "This center was developed to support local superior products Lampung as well as a tourist destination because not far from the airport Radin Inten II," said Ridho.
