INDUSTRY.co.id - Jakarta - MPR chairman Zulkifli Hasan said the Constitution Day celebrated on every August 18 agreed to live meaningful Indonesian nation united in diversity in the Republic of Indonesia (Homeland), since Indonesia's independence.

"Celebrating the constitutional expression of gratitude to favor diversity to this day. Let's stop cross dispute over ethnic, religious and other backgrounds," said Assembly Speaker Zulkifli Hasan during a speech at the commemoration of Constitution Day in the complex of the MPR / DPR / DPD , Jakarta, Friday (18/08/2017)

Present at the event were Vice President Jusuf Kalla, the Vice Chairman of the People's Consultative Assembly; Mahyudin, EE Mangindaan, Hidayat Nur Wahid, and Oesman Sapta who is also Chairman of the DPD, Djanegara Soerja Moermahadi BPK Chairman, Chairman of the Constitutional Court Arief Hidayat, Chairman of the Judicial Commission Aidul Fitriciada Azhari.

Present also Coordinating Minister for maritime RI Luhut Binsar Panjaitan, Minister of Education and Culture, Muhajir Effendy, Minister for Religious Affairs Lukman Hakim Saifuddin, Minister of Environment and Forestry Siti Nurbaya Bakr, head of the Agency for the Assessment of the MPR, the head of the Research Institute of the MPR, the finalists and teachers Companion of Intelligent Quiz Competition Four Pillars MPR National High School Year 2017.

According to Zulkifli, the constitution describes the whole state's constitutional system, containing a rule which is the consensus of all citizens about the idealized state building.

"Ideally, the constitution contains the results of the political struggle in the past and summarizes consensus national figures to be realized in the future," he said.

Zulkifli added that the main challenge Indonesia today, is not actually want to change the basis of the emergence of the state or form of the state, as happened in the history of Indonesia, but keep plurality as well as strengthen the independence of the nation.

"The nation of Indonesia must continue united and sovereign," he added.

Chairman of the National Mandate Party is confirming, now is the time to talk about how Indonesia is superior and able to compete with other nations through productivity, creativity, and innovation.
