INDUSTRY.co.id - Jakarta - Even though almost all industries are shifting towards digital, print world is no exception, the art of graphics is still needed. Therefore, the creative and graphic industries add value to products in other industries.
Head of Creative Economy Agency (Bekraf), Triawan Munaf said, creative and graphic industries can trigger the growth of small industries in the field of printing so it can absorb labor.
"On the other hand, creative industries and graphics can also provide added value for products in other industries," said Triawan at the opening of FGD expo 2017, some time ago in Jakarta.
He cited, for example, the culinary industry that needs a good product packaging. "Music can now be heard digitally, but as soon as the show requires the services of the graphics industry." He explained.
Another example, in the world of fashion (fashion) is not only the product, but also packaging (packaging) it. Like a program, they are careful when opening a particular product packaging. "Beautiful packaging is a packaging that has added value," said Triawan.
According to him, the graphics industry in Indonesia is considered prospective. This is inseparable from its association with various industrial sectors, including the sub-sector of creative industry.
"Bekraf houses 16 creative industry sub-sectors, all of the creative economy subsectors are definitely related to graphic design," he said.
Meanwhile, Chairman of FGDexpo 2017, Andreas Bastedo explains, the trend of graphic industry is currently experiencing a shift following the development of the era, from which had been requiring print time in several stages, the consumer, which is generally a millenial generation, requires an instant and sophisticated process.
"Therefore, the graphics industry continues to grow despite there being a shift towards digital," he concluded.
FGDexpo 2017 from August 24-27 was participated by 97 participants consisting of producers, distributors, product and service providers of graphics, associations of companies and professions, educational institutions, and partners from abroad. The biennial exhibition has the theme "Connectivity".
