Based on data from International Data Corporation (IDC) printing industry transactions globally until the second quarter of 2017 reached US $ 9 billion. Predicted up to three years later value will increase to US $ 47.2 billion.
Based on data from the Indonesian Central Bureau of Statistics (BPS), the graphics industry in Indonesia has increased with the growth of 14.9 percent, the packaging industry up 13.2 percent, and advertising by 12.1 percent.
"Strategic graphics industry, the context is not only product sales from producers but also related to labor," said Chairman of Forum Grafika Digital (FGD) Indonesia Danton Sihombing in FGD Expo 2017 in Jakarta, last weekend.
Through the event FGD Expo 2017 has seen the movement of transaction value. For two days, FGD Expo 2017 has brought transaction up to Rp 6 billion for PT Digital Prima Imaging which became one of the exhibitors. The figure comes from the sale of 22 printer or print machines of various types.
"We hope the target can be met or at least the same as the exhibition two years ago," said National Sales Manager of PT Digital Prima Imaging Djepri Djahyar.
FGD Expo is the largest graphic industry exhibition in Indonesia that takes place once in two years. This year the exhibition is targeting 23 thousand buyers, either individuals or companies, while the target visitors can reach tens of thousands. In addition to exhibitions for advanced printing machines, FGD Expo 2017 also provides educational seminars for design students. Visitors can attend the seminar for free. The 2017 FGD Expo will last until, Sunday (27/8). Admission price is Rp 50 thousand per person.
