INDUSTRY.co.id - Jakarta-The government has yet to realize the decline in industrial gas prices for ceramics. As is known, the ceramic industry becomes one of the industries whose gas prices are lowered.
In response, CFO Sandimas, Hasan Basli said, we expect the decline in gas prices can be immediately realized.
"At least, the price can be equivalent from neighboring countries like Malaysia," said Hasan Basli to INDUSTRY.co.id after the OULU Product Gathering at Hotel Mulia, Jakarta, Wednesday (08/30/2017).
He added that the price of gas for ceramics and sanitary factories are different gas uptake. "In Sanitary it is only about 15-20 percent, while in ceramics factories it can reach 42 percent of gas absorption, so for us, gas price is not something that significantly affects production," he explained.
According to Hasan, Indonesia still has other components that are cheaper when compared with other countries in Asia. Hasan pointed out, our workforce is cheaper than them, the raw materials we have.
"So when compared to other countries in Asia, production cost in Indonesia is still cheaper," added Hasan.
Related to the flood of imported products in Indonesia, Hasan asserts, imported sanitary goods in Indonesia today are many. "However, we can target the market of importers, although the growth is not higher, we hope to replace their products, and we are optimistic for the future," he added.
Hasan realized that the sanitary market in Indonesia is still very small. To that end, we hope the government's support for sanitary market in Indonesia can be more extensive.
"Our market is still very small, but we still believe our production capacity will surely be sold," he said.
Related to the expansion, Hasan asserted, in the future, the company has a third expansion plan. "We have prepared the land in Tangerang area, however we have to step by step, we also see the second expansion is whether it is quite successful or not, if it is successful why we do not continue the third expansion," he concluded.
