Ministry of Cooperatives Cooperate with Pesantren Develop People's Economy

INDUSTRY.co.id - Sukabumi - Ministry of Cooperatives and SMEs involves pesantren as training base for capacity building of KUMKM human resources. The training was held at Pondok Pesantren (Ponpes) Al-Masthuriyah, Sukabumi, West Java, on Wednesday (08/30/2017).

Deputy of Human Resource Development, Ministry of Cooperatives and SME Prakoso BS said the training program as an effort to encourage entrepreneurship spirit of santri. It is expected that after attending the training students can become the icon of people's economic development.

"We will continue to develop the populist economy through pesantren," said Prakoso in his opening speech representing the Minister of Cooperatives and SMEs, Puspayoga who was unable to attend.

The santri are not only taught about religious values ​​in pesantren life, but importantly, that is inculcate the entrepreneurial spirit in order to become a reliable entrepreneur, santri can dedicate themselves to the society.

"In the life of his world he (santri) needs the means and efforts, so how can he concentrate on teaching the religion, but the stomach is not empty, have the business and can develop to help others," Prakoso said.

After successfully developing entrepreneurship, the students are then suggested to form a cooperative, with the intention to easily gain access to capital, and marketing. Moreover, being formed a business enterprise owned by the people (BUMR) which in the future can be synergized.

"In accordance with the policy to develop BUMR where the cooperative has a corporate. If the cooperative is advanced, its members also have the ability to try," he said.

After that, students will be introduced to IT through a training program. Given that the Ministry of cooperatives and SMEs require every request for business capital assistance through e-proposal. Business capital assistance provided a maximum of Rp 13 million.

"The important thing is they make an e-proposal so that they make a good proposal for the requirement to have training, well this has been trained," he said.

KH Abdul Aziz Masthuro, as Head of Pondok Pesantren Al-Masthuriyah welcomed KUMKM human resources capacity building training for santri. He also asked 500 participants who attended, to follow this training consistently, and full of proactive.

"Be a proactive, creative, consistent participant to the end, so come back from here bring the science that can be applied to the community," pleaded KH Abdul Aziz Masthuro.

He reminded that pesantren is an institution that is one of its duties to empower the surrounding community. So according to him very important santri equipped with science entrepreneurship.

"Participants are expected to develop themselves, develop this ponpes so that ponpes is not dependent on others," he said.

To know the number of cooperatives in Sukabumi as many as 1949 units. 156 units of which are cooperative pondok pesantren. While the number of active cooperatives is only about 40 percent. The MSE sector of 27 thousand consists of primary, secondary and tertiary businesses.
